Runswick Bay is a delightful former fishing village situated just 8 miles north of Whitby and a few miles south of Staithes.

Steeped in history and charm, there is a caféteria, pub serving food and local ales and within the nearby villages of Hinderwell and Staithes you will find a Butcher’s, Post Office, Hairdressers, Petrol Station, Fish & Chip Shops, CO-OP supermarket and a number of Public Houses. In the upper part of the village where Stowaway lies, there is the Runswick Bay Hotel public house within walking distance, a bus stop, and the local hotel. Hinderwell village is less than a mile away with all other conveniences at hand.

Those lucky enough to discover Runswick Bay can enjoy a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the larger neighbouring coastal villages.
